Berliet


Berliet, French manufacturer of automobiles and trucks
Car manufacturing was cancelled in 1939 and during World War Two trucks were manufactured for the French Army.
After World War Two truck manufacturing continued.
1967 Berliet became a part of Citroën. 1975 government owned Renault took over Berliet.
1978 Berliet merged with Saviem and was 1979 given the name Renault Véhicules Industriels, todays Renault Trucks.
The name Berliet was cancelled in 1980.
